Cider Time Orchard

est. 2015

2026 Apple Season:

  • Due to conflicts on Labor Day weekend, we will not be open until Friday September 11th.
  • We are picking Zestar apples this week and will have plenty to open on the 11th. Our Zestar's are medium to large size apples.
  • Unfortunately, our First Kiss and SweeTango did not produce enough to offer those for sale this year. It will be something to look forward to for 2027.

Other news:

  • As most regular customer know that my wife and I still work a regular job in the cities. This is coming to an end this winter for me and next spring for my wife. This will allow us to focus our time and effort on our orchard.

  • We order two new University of Minnesota varieties for planting next year;
    • Big Flirt: It is characterized by its extra-large size, bright red color, and smooth, mild flavor. The apple combines the crisp, juicy texture of the popular Honeycrisp variety with a low-acid taste, making it appealing for both eating fresh and culinary uses.
    • SuperSnap. Offers a bold texture that enhances the eating experience. Known for its fresh-picked intensity and rich taste.
    • We have some high expectations on the apples they produced based on their description.

  • We also order Ambrosia which is a unique apple that is an attractive medium-sized apple, with a pink-tinged orange/red flush over a yellow background. The flavor is pleasant and sweet, but one-dimensional in that there is no acidity to balance the sweetness - which is not necessarily a bad thing of course.  The texture is essentially crisp, but not as crisp or hard as a Braeburn or Jazz

Our Open Days/Hours starting on September 11th:

Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 6pm

Sundays 10am to 3pm

Do not hesitate to give me a call or text if you have any questions (612-770-3052). Texting is the best option during the week as I am still working a regular job three days a week this season.
